Temperature management – Autonomy and distribution of heating costs
In order to achieve autonomy in an apartment building, as has been applied to new buildings in Greece for years now, a situation must be created where each tenant will activate the heating of their apartment and also the boiler from a single point (the thermostat) and will is switched off by it while a counter will count the time the apartment absorbs heat from the central system.
With this in mind, the wireless autonomy system was created, specifically for old two-pipe heating systems that are easily installed, without hydraulic conversions and cables inside the apartments, using wireless technology.
Each device in the system is tuned to a specific code each time so that there is no interference from similar or other radio frequency devices located in the area.
The distribution of the expense is done using either heating cost allocators or a timetable. Although it is recommended to avoid placing hour meters in the boiler room that record the time of heating demand and not the actual consumption of the apartment in thermal energy, there are not a few cases where autonomy systems in old apartment buildings solve the problem of allocation by using hour meters.
