The structure of the material and the smooth texture of the surface ensure low friction losses resulting in low resistance and small pressure drop in the pipelines. Also, the material used has a high reduction of the sound index and limitation of its propagation, through the pipes. The result of the above is the use of smaller cross-sections of plastic pipes for the same amount of water. Aqua-plus pipes are produced in cross-sections from 20 mm to 160 mm in green color, in straight lengths of 4 meters.

Advantages

  • High resistance of pipes and fittings to hydraulic shocks (Break pressure over 130 bar at ambient temperature)
  • Lifetime over 50 years, at temperatures from 20°C to 90°C and operating pressures from 6 to 26 bar.
  • Temperature peaks of 110°C at an operating pressure of 4 bar do not affect the Aqua-plus system.
  • Excellent corrosion resistance. Very good behavior in areas where the water is very hard.
  • Low thermal conductivity results in the reduction of heat loss in hot water networks.

AquaPlus - Aluminum pipes

Interplast, in addition to Random (Type 3) single-wall polypropylene pipes, also produces three-layer polypropylene - aluminum - polypropylene pipes. The new pipes are designed, manufactured, and quality tested to the standards applicable to plain polypropylene pipes.

The Aqua - Plus - Al pipes are classified in the same class as the simple Aqua - Plus pipes: Class 2/10 bar (safety factor Sf=1.5), i.e. they are designed for transporting potable water with the possibility of continuous operation for a period of more than 50 years with a mains pressure of 10 bar and a water temperature of 70° C, while alternatively, they have the possibility of continuous operation at a pressure of 20 bar at 20° C (PN 20) for the same period of time.

The advantages of this new pipe are: •Reduction of thermal linear expansion by 75% compared to simple polypropylene pipes (0.025 mm/m/oC)
•Increasing the mechanical resistance of the pipe to external shocks.
•Increasing the mechanical resistance of the pipe to the internal hydraulic pressures.
•Increasing the chemical resistance of the pipe from corrosion phenomena.

The thermo-welding of the new pipes with the polypropylene parts is done with the same ease as with the simple pipes, after processing their ends with a scraper.

Aqua plus tubes with fiberglass

The new Aqua-Plus-GF pipes are designed, produced, and quality tested according to the standards applicable to plain polypropylene pipes (EN 15874 & DIN 8077/78) and in accordance with the special directive HR 3.28 of the German Institute SKZ.
The polypropylene used for the three-layer Aqua-Plus-GF pipes (with mechanical reinforcement of glass fibers in the middle layer) is characterized as random polypropylene of special crystallinity (PP-R 112) and due to its high mechanical strength (especially at high temperatures) and its long service life, it is classified according to DIN 8077/78 (edition 2007) in the MRS class 11.2.0 MPa (PP-R 112), in contrast to plain PP-R which is in the MRS class 8.0 MPa (PP-R 80).

The main advantage of Aqua Plus pipes with glass fibers is the reduction of thermal linear expansion by 60% (0.035mm/m/°C) compared to plain polypropylene pipes.
