How does it work

With the STOPCOR magnesium anode cathodic protection method, a voltage is imposed through the sacrificial anode. (Cathodic protection)
Imposed voltage covers and protects large metal surfaces with much less sacrificial mass of active metal (anode).
The current is absolutely continuous and compatible for its imposition on other metals, because it is produced in a natural way. (Applied Electrochemistry)
It charges the protected metals negatively, absolutely satisfactorily, and while the surface was the anode of a galvanic element, that is, a negative oxidizing pole, it becomes the cathode of an electrolytic cell, that is, a negative reducing pole.
The protected surface is still negatively charged but its action is reversed and it is predisposed to undergo reduction rather than oxidation.
The applied voltage must be above 1 volt and the current above 10 mA.
STOPCOR is an anode for the solar water heater, which is easily installed, outside the installation.
It replaces magnesium rod (anode for solar), which pollutes water and is harmful to health.

Advantages

• Easily installed externally
• Does not come into contact with water
• Does not leave residues in the boiler
• Eliminates magnesium rod that contaminates water
• Apply voltage up to 1.5V
• Requires no power supply or batteries
• Provides full sun protection
• Lasts 2 years
• It has a spare part

Installation Instructions
STOPCOR® SOLAR
Installing the device includes 4 steps:

1. Place the support base of the device on the support base of the solar water heater.
2. Connect the yellow cable that ends in a taff with an integrated plug and titanium pin to the cold water inlet.
3. Connect the red cable externally to the metal piping with a clamp, after first stripping the copper from the cable casing.
4. Activate the device by adding 5ml of tap water with a syringe from the hole on the top of the STOPCOR Solar.
(We repeat the water filling process every 12 months – Maintenance)

Control Method
STOPCOR® SOLAR

We set the multimeter to the direct current indicator and to the graduation up to 2 Volts
Place one end of the instrument on the left screw and the other on the right. The result of the indication must be from 1 Volt and above. If it is below 1 Volt, we replace it with the spare part. The base does not need to be replaced.
